We believe in a world where adoption is more affordable and people have a better experience.
About Adoption Story
Adoption Story is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established by Josh and Catherine Montgomery. They made this organization because there’s too many amazing parents who can’t bring their children home due to adoption costs.
Catherine, a licensed social worker, has been working in the foster care and adoption field for the last 5 years. Not long after she started, her heart broke for children without families which led to both Catherine and Josh wanting to adopt.
Josh devoted his life’s work to the charity sector graduating with a degree in Nonprofit Management and has worked in the field for the last 5 years developing a unique passion for fundraising and development.

(Part 2 of 2) “After an investigation with little information to go off of, we found Julie and Bea. We couldn’t bare the thought of not reuniting these four siblings but the idea of another International adoption was overwhelming as well as the expense of it so soon after our first adoption. In faith we moved forward knowing it’s what the Lord wanted us to do. December 2016 we legally adopted the girls and have been blessed abundantly by generous givers donating enough to cover 90% of our adoption expenses. We’ve hit yet another snag though and have been waiting over 10 months for USCIS to acknowledge our adoption and issue visas for the girls to come home. We are trusting and believing in the Lord’s timing and know He will bring them home soon. In the meantime we have traveled to meet the newest Sangster’s and Skype the girls every weekend. Our story is full of heartache, brokenness and loss but because of God’s goodness our family has been created so perfectly and is better then I could have ever imagined. God truly does set the lonely in families and I have watched Him create beauty from ashes. Our journey to building our family was long and hard but it was absolutely worth it!” -Tiffany
(Part 2 of 2) “Ever since we started dating, we have dreamed of getting to start a family together. After a few months of trying to have a baby, I just felt in my gut that something was not right. A few doctors’ visits and tests later, we learned we had little to no chance of being able to conceive. While infertility is heartbreaking and just plain hard to grasp and understand, we were graced with a sense of peace and strength. Our hearts were quickly led to adoption and we feel so fortunate to be a part of such a beautiful process. Don’t get me wrong, adoption is scary and is full of so many unknowns, but trust us when we say we are ready to pour ourselves into this process and our hearts are prepared for this long journey! We are huge believers that the color of your skin, eyes, and hair don’t make a family, LOVE does. Again, thank you for following our story! We will post updates, pictures, answer questions, and share our fundraisers (the average cost of adoption in the United States is $40,000 YIKES!!). We are working with an amazing agency through their Domestic Infant Adoption Program and feel that we are in the best hands. We are knee deep in paperwork but there’s nothing I love more than a good checklist so #bringiton! Feel free to Share and Like our page! We can’t wait to #BringHomeBabyTrotter!” -Neely and Shane
